A MOODY, CANDLELIT WEDDING AT TLAQUEPAQUE

Abby and Connor brought us on for our Month-of Coordination package, and in just under a month, we made some pretty significant changes to their wedding plans!

A NEW HOME FOR DINNER

One of the biggest changes we made was relocating their dinner and dancing into Tlaquepaque's beautiful Calle. Guest comfort was a huge priority, and we wanted to create a space that felt welcoming, intimate, and cohesive while taking full advantage of the venue's gorgeous Spanish-inspired architecture.

The Calle from above: long candlelit tables with greenery and wood chargers on either side of a checkered dance floor beneath string lights

From there, we got to work adding some of our own design touches! We sourced a rustic wood and white checkered dance floor, and while Abby already had beautiful greenery planned, we recommended bringing in more candles to fill the reception tables with warmth and romance. Together with rich brown table runners, custom dinner menus, and thoughtful little details, everything came together beautifully.

A CANDLELIT CHAPEL

Their ceremony inside Tlaquepaque's chapel was a true highlight. Rather than relying on the overhead lighting, Abby and Connor opted to turn the lights off and allow the natural light to filter through the chapel, complemented by the soft glow of candles. The result was this incredibly moody, intimate atmosphere that felt so romantic without needing an abundance of decor. Sometimes the architecture and lighting really do all the work!

A FEW PERSONAL TOUCHES

And of course, we had to incorporate a few personal touches!

One of our absolute favorite details was Abby and Connor's adorable custom cat figurines from Etsy, which they incorporated into their wedding cake. We love when couples find creative ways to include their pets in their celebration, especially when they can't physically be there. It was such a sweet and playful little detail that made their wedding feel even more like them.

Between the candlelit chapel, greenery-filled reception, checkered dance floor, and dinner beneath the charm of the Calle, their wedding was a beautiful reminder of how much thoughtful planning and a few intentional design changes can transform an entire celebration.

And to think, we pulled all of these details together in less than a month!

We're always so grateful when couples trust us to make recommendations, adjust their original plans, and bring a fresh perspective to their wedding day. Abby and Connor's celebration was such a beautiful example of what can happen when thoughtful logistics and intentional design come together. 🤍

Designed to leave you in awe.

With love,
Arabella
