AN INTIMATE WILDFLOWER WEDDING ALONG OAK CREEK

Some weddings don't need elaborate installations, hundreds of guests, or an enormous production to feel incredibly special. Patricia and Drew's intimate wedding at Creekside Inn was such a beautiful reminder of that.

Nestled among the trees along Oak Creek, their ceremony was everything I love about smaller celebrations. Quiet, personal, surrounded by nature, and centered entirely around the two people getting married.

A CEREMONY BENEATH THE TREES

Their ceremony took place beneath the shade of the trees, with wooden garden chairs arranged on the grass and a simple wooden arbor dressed in soft ivory fabric and delicate florals. The natural greenery surrounding the space was already so beautiful that we really didn't need to compete with it.

WILDFLOWERS & LACE

For their reception, I wanted to embrace the relaxed, garden-inspired atmosphere of the property. I personally created their wildflower arrangements, using a playful assortment of colorful blooms in petite glass vases. We incorporated soft pinks, yellows, purples, and whites to give the tables a freshly gathered, almost whimsical feeling.

I also brought in a delicate lace table runner to dress up the wooden garden tables without covering up their natural character. Paired with the colorful wildflowers, soft neutral napkins, and warm wooden tones, the tablescapes felt romantic, nostalgic, and effortlessly charming.

And that was really the beauty of this wedding. Nothing felt overly styled or out of place. Everything complemented the surroundings and the intimate experience Patricia and Drew wanted to create.

One of my favorite details was how relaxed and personal the entire celebration felt. From their ceremony beneath the trees to their sweet cake-cutting moment surrounded by cupcakes, their wedding was a beautiful example of how meaningful a smaller celebration can be.

As a planner and designer, I love the opportunity to get hands-on with these intimate weddings. Sometimes that means personally arranging the flowers, sourcing a vintage-inspired linen, or finding those little details that make a space feel special without overwhelming it.

Patricia and Drew's wedding was full of those little moments, and I couldn't have loved the simplicity of it more.

Proof that you don't need a grand production to create something beautiful. Sometimes all you need is a creekside setting, a handful of wildflowers, a little lace, and the people you love. 🤍
