A GARDEN ESTATE ALONG OAK CREEK: A ROMANTIC WEDDING AT L'AUBERGE DE SEDONA

L'Auberge de Sedona will always have a special place in my heart.
Before starting Arabella's Weddings & Events, I actually worked at L'Auberge as a Senior Sales Manager, so I know the property incredibly well. When Brynn and Megan reached out about planning their wedding there, it felt like such a full-circle moment.
We got on the phone, talked through their vision, and they immediately hired me for full planning and design.
And I was SO excited.
We had just seven months to plan their entire wedding from start to finish, and these two had no shortage of ideas.
Megan is a creative through and through. A thrifter, a crafter, and someone who genuinely appreciates all the little details that make a wedding personal. And Brynn brought so much heart and excitement to every conversation, always making sure the day felt true to both of them.
Together, they already had such a specific vision in mind, and my job was to take all of those ideas, bring them together, and figure out how to make everything actually happen.
Which, if you know me, is my favorite kind of challenge.

GARDEN ESTATE MEETS SEDONA RED ROCKS
Brynn and Megan wanted their wedding to feel like a romantic garden estate, but we also wanted to embrace the natural beauty of Sedona.
Think lush greenery, elegant calla lilies, soft ivory fabrics, and a beautiful contrast between refined garden-inspired details and the surrounding red rocks.

I worked very closely with Izra's Florals to develop their tablescape designs. We focused on incorporating calla lilies, layered greenery, and arrangements that felt organic while still having that elevated, estate-inspired look.
I love calla lilies because they're naturally sculptural. They can make such a statement without needing an overwhelming amount of flowers, and they were absolutely perfect for the direction we were going.
We paired the florals with soft chiffon table runners that draped effortlessly across the tables, adding movement and texture without taking away from the arrangements themselves.
The entire design was romantic, garden-inspired, and very intentionally curated.

DINNER ALONG OAK CREEK
One of the most beautiful parts of L'Auberge is the Cottage Side Lawn, tucked right alongside Oak Creek.
For Brynn and Megan, we wanted dinner to feel like an intimate garden party, surrounded by the trees and the sound of the creek.
We incorporated chandeliers to bring a little unexpected elegance into the outdoor setting. There's something I absolutely love about seeing a beautiful chandelier suspended in nature.
It creates such an interesting contrast.

Between the flowing chiffon runners, lush greenery, calla lilies, and chandeliers, the reception felt like a garden estate that just happened to be nestled into the red rocks of Sedona.
And that was exactly what we were hoping to accomplish.
FROM A HOTEL BALLROOM TO A WHOLE NEW SPACE
One of the bigger design challenges was transforming the hotel's ballroom for the celebration.
Ballrooms can be tricky because they're designed to accommodate so many different types of events. I never want my couples to feel like their wedding is just another event happening in a hotel meeting space.
So we got creative.
We incorporated plush lounge furnishings, intentional uplighting, and custom signage throughout the space to make it feel more like a continuation of their wedding design rather than a completely separate room.
The lighting helped change the atmosphere, while the lounge pieces made everything feel more inviting and comfortable.
And of course, I had to incorporate personalized signage.
From the outdoor dinner to the indoor celebration, I wanted everything to feel cohesive, even though we were working with two very different environments.
A TATTOO ARTIST AT THE WEDDING
And because this wedding was so completely them, we brought in a live tattoo artist.
Guests could leave with a little permanent memory of the night, and Brynn and Megan made sure to take a turn at the station themselves. It was playful, unexpected, and exactly the kind of personal touch I love seeing at a wedding.

SEVEN MONTHS, SO MANY IDEAS, AND ONE BEAUTIFUL WEDDING
Planning an entire wedding in seven months is no small task, especially when you're working with a couple who has such a detailed creative vision.
But that's also what made this wedding so much fun.
Brynn and Megan brought so many wonderful ideas to the table, and I loved being able to collaborate with a couple who appreciated the design process as much as I do.
There were a lot of moving pieces, a lot of decisions, and a whole lot of creativity involved in bringing everything together.
My role wasn't to change what they wanted. It was to take their vision, refine the details, source the right partners, and make sure everything felt cohesive from beginning to end.
I think that's one of the most important parts of full-service wedding planning. It's not always about starting with a blank canvas. Sometimes it's about helping someone who already knows exactly what they love turn all those ideas into something tangible.
A FULL-CIRCLE MOMENT
Being back at L'Auberge, this time as the owner and lead designer of my own wedding planning company, made this celebration particularly special to me.
I went from working at the property and helping couples book their weddings to returning with my own clients, my own creative direction, and a team of vendors bringing our designs to life.
And getting to do that for two people as creative and trusting as Brynn and Megan made it even better.

Their wedding was romantic, personal, a little playful, and full of thoughtful details.
Exactly what a wedding should be.
With love,
Arabella
